ETM | Cycling trip on Drava cycling route Drava Bike

European Mobility Week will be encouraging sustainable ways of mobility between 16th and 22nd of September 2026. As a part of it, we will go on a bike trip along the Drava cycling route - Drava Bike between Maribor and Ptuj.

This year's trip will be on saturday, September 19, 2026, and it is going to connect Maribor and Ptuj while taking the participants through the destination Štajerska. We will cycle through area that boasts three important awards: Štajerska as the 3rd Best European Destination, Maribor as Best European Wine Capital and Ptuj as Best Cultural Heritage Town in Europe.

The participants will get to know a part of one of the favourite cycling paths in Slovenia while recreatively hang out with each other. Cycling is sustainable and environmentally friendly way of mobility that encourages healthy life style, connects generations and contributes to more quality living environment. That is why this trip is in direct connection with this year's theme of European Mobility Week - MOBILITY FOR ALL GENERATIONS.

The even has even more special value because this year Drava Bike is being listed among the finalists for the ECTN Awards 2026, which is an European award in the field of cultural and sustainable tourism. This recognition confirms that Drava Bike succesfully connects sustainable mobility, tourism, cultural heritage, and the local community.
