TIC Ptuj
Old town, new experiences
Ptuj is a surprise of the north-eastern part of Slovenia. A walk through the oldest Slovenian city will take you past Roman monuments and magnificent medieval facades. Cobbled streets and squares will lead you to one of the most majestic castles in Slovenia that offers a view over the roof tiles of medieval monasteries, churches, and other buildings.
Special experience
Be it in the summer or winter, Ptuj offers cultural adventures 365 days a year. Kurentovanje was selected one of the top 10 carnivals in the world, and spring brings the Salon Sauvignon and Specialties of Slovene Farms. Summers are the time for the contemporary art festival Art Stays, the Arsana music festival, and Days of Poetry and Wine, as well as the Roman games, medieval reenactments, and traditional fairs. Autumns are dedicated to wine-related events, and December is traditionally festive.
