Saturday cycling train on the Koroška line 2025
For the ninth consecutive year, a Saturday bike train will operate during the school holidays along the Carinthian route between Maribor and Pliberk.
The season, which begins on Saturday, June 14, 2025, will see the bike trains running every Saturday until August 30, 2025, as well as on holidays—May 1, 2025, and May 2, 2025, June 25, 2025, and August 15, 2025.
The first ride will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
The bike train is aimed at those who want to combine comfortable train travel with active leisure time. The train is designed for carrying bicycles and provides easy access to numerous cycling paths along the Drava River and in the wider Carinthian region—both on the Slovenian and Austrian sides of the border.
Due to its location and the connection between the urban environment and the natural beauty of Carinthia, this train is an ideal choice for families, recreational cyclists, and everyone looking for a different weekend escape.
The prices for transporting bicycles are uniform and do not depend on the distance. The price for transporting a bicycle is €1.50, while the price for transporting an electric bicycle is €3.00.
