Kovačija pri Kovaču

The family tradition of the renovated blacksmith's workshop Kovačija pri Kovaču, more than 200 years old and a cultural heritage site of the area, continues to write its story in such a way that every visitor feels a part of it. Here, the past intertwines with the future. Guests can experience this by spending the night in the blacksmith's room, relaxing under the mighty old linden tree while listening to birdsong, swimming in the Velka stream, and lighting the blacksmith’s fire in the evening.

You can also indulge in traditional blacksmith's cuisine, enjoy a glass of excellent blacksmith's beer or wine, and even craft your own souvenir to take home.

Children can discover the blacksmith’s craft, tools, trees, and herbs found in the meadow near the workshop through the blacksmith's treasure hunt. They’ll also meet our many animals (hedgehogs, dormice, sheep, chickens, a dog, a cat, rabbits, a piglet) and have the chance to feed them. Outside, there is a large meadow where children can play outdoor games or table tennis if they wish.

Right next to the blacksmith's workshop, our Uran Shop and Inn (reception) welcomes you, where a century-old tradition is passed down through four generations. In the shop, you can stock up on everything you need, and the bar offers refreshments. If you're exploring this beautiful part of Pohorje with an electric bike, you can also recharge it at our inn.
