We would like to point out that immediately after the Slovenian border, when the Drava Cycling Route leads towards beautiful sand dunes, the route is very rough and filled with gravel.

The Slovenian Railways report that the railway line through Carinthia (Koroška) on the section Vuhred – Vuzenica is open again.

In Muta, the construction of a bicycle underpass started on the new section of the Drava cycle path. The investor is the Slovenian Infrastructure Agency. When the underpass is finished, the cyclists will be safely guided under the busy state road.

In the municipality of Radlje ob Dravi, between Zg. Vižinga and the Water park, the construction of the new 1,5 km long section of the Drava cycling route has begun, with the Slovenian Infrastructure Agency as the investor.

Due to the construction of the Ormož border crossing, road closures at the border crossing are planned until September 20, 2019. Take note of the detour for motor vehicles.

The Municipality of Ruše concludes the construction of the largest bridging object on the Drava cycling route between Ruše and Bistrica ob Dravi. The cycling route on this section is scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2019.

This year, the fourth Drava Festival will take place from May 18th to July 14th, 2019. This year’s festival will also be a conglomerate of unified experiences promoting educational and environmental as well as recreational and tourist eventsa long the river Drava.

In 2019, the summer cycling train will drive twice a day on Saturdays between June 22 and August 31, as well as during the holidays on May 1 and 2, June 25 and August 15.

The first international meeting of Slovenian and Croatian stakeholders in the Drava River area, which took place on Thursday, November 8th, 2018, at the Kulturni dom (Cultural Centre) in Miklavž na Dravskem polju.

The Partnership for the Drava Cycling Route, in cooperation with the Initiative for Drava, is organizing an international event titled "DRAVA AS AN OPPORTUNITY", which aims to connect organizations and individuals, who are working in the area of sustainable tourism development and Drava River preservation in Slovenia and Croatia.

On World Tourism Day, which is celebrated this year in the European Week of Sport, we will cycle along the Drava Cycling Route. We will meet on Thursday, September 27th, 2018 at 11 am in front of the Old Vine House in Lent, Maribor.

In the municipality of Muta, in August 2018, the construction of a 1.5 km long section of the Drava Cycling Route between Spodnja Muta and Tuš and the connection to the Vuzenica bridge began. The main investor of the project is the Slovenian Infrastructure Agency (DRSI).

In cooperation with the Slovenian Infrastructure Agency (DRSI), the Podvelka Municipality in August 2018 rearranged 900 m of separated paved cycling route in Brezno. This section is a new planned part of the Drava Cycling Route, which will take place directly along the Drava River.

The construction of the first 2 km section of the Drava Cycling Route in the Municipality of Ruše, whose main investor is the Slovenian Infrastructure Agency (DRSI), is almost finished.

The Drava Cycling Route has a new, 30-kilometre long section between Maribor and Ptuj, which runs along the right river bank through Miklavž, Starše and Hajdino. The new stage is a more gradual and more traffic-friendly alternative to the existing section that leads through Malečnik and Duplek.

The new section, which runs through the municipalities of Miklavž na Dravskem polju, Starše and Hajdina, will be presented and put into use - to cyclists, on Thursday, July 12th, 2018, between 11.00 am and 1.00 pm on the platform at NK Rošnja - Loka.

Today from Pliberk we started a 6-day biking trip, with which we conclude the 3rd Drava Festival.
