For a stunning view of Dravograd and the Drava River, you can hike up to Skala nad Dravogradom. The half-hour hike is suitable for slightly older children in good weather and offers a great opportunity for a family outing.

The trail starts in Dravograd and continues along a dirt path that transitions into a forest. Follow the signs directing you onto a narrower hiking trail, which winds through the forest to Skala.

At the top, you'll find a wooden table and benches where you can rest and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Drava River.

The ascent to Ptuj Castle Hill begins directly from the historic old town of Ptuj, taking about 10 to 15 minutes on foot.

The Ruta Forest Educational Trail is a circular path, 4.5 kilometers long. It starts at the Matec homestead and continues along forestry tracks to the edge of the Štiblerjev Vrh forest reserve. From there, the trail descends along a hunter’s path, which follows the former walking trails of the Fala manor, reaching the Štibler homestead. From the Štibler homestead, the trail continues along a forest road past Lobnik (a forest clearing) and returns to the starting point at Matec. Along the trail, breathtaking views of the Drava River can be enjoyed in every season.

Bricnikov Vrh is a forested peak in the Kozjak Hills above the town of Muta. Just below the summit, a stunning view of the Drava Valley opens up, making it the main reason to visit this peak. The short 30-minute hike to the 1017-meter-high Bricnikov Vrh rewards visitors with breathtaking views of the Drava River at the top. The ascent is suitable for younger children, making it an excellent option for a family outing.

The 1018-meter-high Šteharski Vrh invites you to explore its well-marked trail starting from Radlje ob Dravi. The path takes you past numerous farms, across meadows, and through forest trails. After an hour and a half of hiking, you'll reach the summit, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Drava Valley.
